Instructors: Creating a Course

Instructors can create courses to share with learners in your learning Canopy.

Add Course

Once you've created an instructor account in Canopy, you can create a course. If this is your first course creation, you will automatically be taken to the Create a Course page. If you are looking to add an additional course, you will select '+Add Course' in the left navigation menu.

Creating a New Course

To create a course, start by giving it a title and a course code. The course code is auto-populated, but you can customize it here.

Please note: The course code is fixed after selecting 'Next'. If you decide to change your course code, you will have to do so by making a copy of the course which you can do from the course settings icon.

Curriculum Page & Creator's Dashboard

Once your course has been created, you'll be taken to the course curriculum page where you can begin to build out content and organize your course.

Your new course will have one module and section bar already so you can quickly start creating.
Courses can include hundreds of resources embedded in a single page.
All of the learning content/resources can be built out easily in an organized fashion.
